Terms of use

These terms govern your use of endpointcheck.dev. By using the site you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the site.

What this site is

endpointcheck.dev currently provides free browser-based tools, written security guides, and a waitlist for a product that has not launched. There is no account system, no subscription, and no paid service.

The free tools

The tools are informational aids. They perform a specific, limited check on input you provide and report what they find. They are not a security assessment, a penetration test, a compliance audit, or a certification of any kind.

A tool reporting no problems does not mean your API, website, or configuration is secure. It means only that the specific check it performs found nothing. The tool disclaimerdescribes the limits of each tool in more detail.

No professional advice

Nothing on this site — including the tools and the written guides — is legal, compliance, or security advice, and should not be relied on as a substitute for qualified professional advice. Compliance pages in particular are general explainers, not legal opinions.

Your responsibilities

  • Only use these tools on systems you own or are authorised to test. The tools do not make outbound requests to third-party targets, and you should not repurpose them to do so.
  • Do not attempt to disrupt the site, probe it for vulnerabilities, or use it to host or distribute anything unlawful.
  • Do not use the site to develop, distribute, or assist with anything unlawful.

Availability and changes

This site is provided as-is and may change, be interrupted, or be discontinued at any time. endpointcheck.dev is deliberately run as an experiment on a disposable domain, and may stop existing without notice.

Disclaimer of warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the site is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the site or the tools will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any output will be correct or complete.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Paolo Rechia and EndpointCheck will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the site or the tools — even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Intellectual property

The content and code on this site belong to EndpointCheck unless stated otherwise. You may read, quote, and link to it with attribution. Please do not republish it wholesale.

Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated. The "last updated" date above reflects the current version, and continued use after an update constitutes acceptance.
